'Il Mago Mancini' è la formula usata nel 1994 da Valentino Rossi per descrivere il meccanico che ha costruito la sua prima moto da gran premio, Guido Mancini, lo stesso uomo che ha accompagnato gli esordi di fuoriclasse come Loris Capirossi, Andrea Dovizioso, Franco Morbidelli e Romano Fenati.
Pilota negli anni 70 e poi tecnico del motomondiale, il pesarese ha tramandato le basi delle competizioni ai più affermati talenti che l’Italia ha saputo esprimere negli ultimi 30 anni, restando nell’ombra fino a oggi.
Dopo una lunga parentesi di silenzio e distanze, in questo film Mancini ritrova i pupilli che ha cresciuto e ripercorre con loro una vita fatta di altruismo e avventura, mescolati nella passione che ha messo in campo per trasformare delle giovani promesse in grandi campioni. Mancini was a racer in the 70s and later worked in the world championship circus. He taught the basics of motorcycle racing to the most successful Italian riders of the last 30 years, but his figure remained unknown until today.
After several years of distance and silence, in this documentary Mancini meets the riders again and remembers with them a life made of altruism and adventure, together with the passion that made him transform these young promises into great champions. It's a story that mixes competition and craftsmanship. One of the most pure pages of motorsports history.
